Faith Leaders Unite at Interfaith Iftar Dinner Hosted by Mahmood Mosque

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community < 1 min read

The Imam of Adelaide’s largest mosque, Mahmood Mosque, Imam Kamran Tahir, invites all members of the community to the Big Iftar at Mahmood Mosque.

The event will take place on Sunday, 22 February 2026. Proceedings will commence at 6:30pm, with the breaking of the fast (Iftar) at 8:03pm, followed by a complimentary dinner. Iftar, which marks the breaking of the fast, is observed by Muslims each day during the holy month of Ramadan.

Venue:
Mahmood Mosque
6–8 Toogood Avenue, Beverley SA 5009

This program is an interfaith event, bringing together faith leaders from the Abrahamic traditions—Christianity, Judaism, and Islam—to deliver a message of unity and mutual respect and to foster interfaith harmony.

Imam Kamran Tahir said:

“We warmly invite everyone to join us for our annual interfaith Iftar dinner, the Big Iftar, at Adelaide’s largest mosque. Our motto, ‘Love for all, hatred for none,’ reflects our commitment to building relationships of trust, friendship, and respect across communities. This event serves as a meaningful way to achieve these objectives.”

We invite members of the media, community leaders, and the public to join us for this significant moment of solidarity and support for interfaith harmony.
